Meeting global challenges and creating sustainable and long-term impacts is only possible through the collaborative work of broad partnerships. These partnerships are often translated into specific projects and activities focused on communities, ecosystems, sustainability, education, and other main themes.
Marico Biosphere Reserve is involved in partnering with a number of different projects within the region that contribute towards, and support the principles outlined within the UNESCO Man and Biosphere Programme.
These projects can largely be divided into 3 different categories or programmes - projects undertaken under the auspices of the Marico River Conservation Association, projects related to and working with Youth in the biosphere reserve region and all additional projects not falling into either of these categories. These may include social development projects, conservation projects or any other projects focused on development of the Marico communities and environments.
